One person in the bobble cut: an oversized sculpted head on a compact body, weighted so it nods. The face stays readable at desk scale because everything below the neck is simplified.

What we pay attention to.

01

The head carries the likeness

At bobble proportions the head is most of what you see, so that is where the work goes: the shape of the eyes, the expression they default to, the hair outline. Everything below the neck is simplified on purpose so the face keeps reading from across a room.

02

A sculpt proof before anything is made

We sculpt the character digitally and send the proof back as still renders. Judge the face first, tell us what is off, and we go back into the sculpt before production starts.

03

Hand-painted resin, weighted to nod

The head is mounted on a spring so it nods, and the base is weighted to keep it upright. Seam lines are sanded back and the colour is brushed on by hand.
